Other Altitude 27 Events

The Course

- The course is 20 kilometers (12.43 miles) and primarily on trail (8 miles on trails, about 4 miles are on an asphalt fire road in the middle of Pt. Mugu State Park.
- The first 5 miles are slightly uphill and the only real hill in the race occurs at 5 miles and is about a quarter mile long. After summitting the hill the course descends on a 2-mile downhill. The last 5 1/2 miles are flat or slightly downhill.
- The course has a 3-hour time limit (average of 14:29 per mile.)

Check-In
Check-in and day of race registration starts at 7:30 AM.
Parking
There is a $10.00 charge for parking in the State Beach Park parking lot. Parking is free on the Coast Highway ONLY WHERE MARKED. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the starting line. You may need to park and walk quite a ways and the starting line is 1/2 mile from the trail-head (the actual loop is about 13 miles but the course has always been 20K so we don't want to change it.)
